Project Work Time

Today we had all day to work on our project that we have to present on Friday. My group called all the schools in the High Tech Village find out when we could speak at there community meetings. We also made a rap that one of our group members rapped to so I thought that was really cool

Gompers School

Today We went to Gompers Charter School,we got to see the school and a lot of the things in it. We also got to eat lunch with one of the 6th grade classes. After we were done with the school we delivered all of the stuff we collected from the diaper drive to St. Vincent de Paul and that was pretty much what we did

Diaper Drive

Today we did a diaper drive to help the mothers and babies on the street that are homeless and don't have anything what so ever to use. We collected things like diapers baby food baby formula and lots of other things. I think it was really cool that we got to stand in front of Von's and ask people to help the mothers and babies in need

Wild Animal Park

 Today we went to the Wild Animal Park and Learned about what happened to the Wild Animal Park in the fires I learned that two out of the three thousand five hundred animals died during the fire and even though they were endangered species one of the species had a baby about a week after the fires so it was the same number of species after that we drove around the park and looked at all the animals and that about it. We also got to plant trees to help the animas from when the fires blew through the Wild Animal Park

LGBT Center

The LGBT center was really fun we got to see a lot of cool things in the center I learned that there was a kid who got shot because he was gay I think that is wrong so that was a really fun trip we also got this person to talk to us about gays lesbians bisexuals and  trans genders and she have us a good lecture on that stuff. I am really glad that we got to go to that center see her speak. After that we went to special delivery and delivered food to the people that were on the list. It was really fun

St. Vincent De Paul

Well today we went to St.Vincent De Paul it was a pretty good field trip. We got to take a tour of the site. I learned that at least seventy people a day come in looking for a home. We also got to meet Father Joe who is the founder of all the father joe villages in the world really cool to meet him.We also delivered meals to homeless people on the street I felt really good giving them the meals. Tomorrow we are going to the GLBT Rights and Equal Treatment center so I think that will be really fun 

WE STARTED INTER SESSION

Well we started inter-session and today was okay.  Today we had two speakers come in,one was a person that is an expert on non-profit organizations so she came in and talked to us about all the things she knows about that. And we also had a guy come in from the San Diego zoo. He talked to us about the fires and that destroyed some of the wild animal park and what they feed and the animals and how its hard to get them out when there's a fire.  Also today we researched our topic with our group.  My topic is child and domestic abuse I am glad I got this topic because I think that it is a really important one in San Diego CA.  Tomorrow 10 people are going to a landfill and the rest of us are going to a place called St. Vincent De Paul I am going to St. Vincent De Paul so I think it is going to be really fun.

Intersession Feelings

I think this is going to be a great intersession we are going to be going around San Diego CA and helping the homeless and child and domestic abuse and also we are going to go to a lot of places and see a lot of things so I think its going to be really fun. The one that I feel really passionate about is child and domestic abuse because it is happening a lot in the world so I think we really need to stop it. I really cant wait for this intersession to start its going to be rad
